Integrations

Setup > Integrations is where HeiChat connects to external channels and systems. Add integrations after the base support flow is already working.

Webhook

Use Webhook when you want HeiChat events sent to your own systems or automation platforms.

Typical use cases:

  • Sync ticket creation to a helpdesk
  • Push new leads into a CRM
  • Trigger restock workflows
  • Track AI-generated orders

Basic setup:

  1. Create a webhook endpoint in Zapier, Make, or your own system.
  2. Paste the URL into HeiChat.
  3. Subscribe to the events you need.
  4. Test the workflow with real or sample events.

Email (SMTP)

Use SMTP when agents need to continue a conversation after the customer leaves the store.

Prepare:

  • SMTP host
  • Port
  • Security protocol
  • Sender name
  • Sender email
  • Username
  • Password or app password

This works best when Lead Capture is already collecting customer email addresses.

Klaviyo

Use Klaviyo when HeiChat should feed leads and restock events into lifecycle marketing.

Common uses:

  • Sync pre-chat leads
  • Trigger restock flows

Important:

  • HeiChat sends the data
  • Klaviyo controls the actual flows
  • Catalog sync in Klaviyo must be healthy for restock workflows

WhatsApp

Use WhatsApp integration when you want HeiChat to answer messages inside WhatsApp Business.

At a high level:

  1. Prepare your WhatsApp Business account in Meta.
  2. Copy the callback URL and verification token from HeiChat into Meta.
  3. Generate the access token in Meta.
  4. Add the phone number in HeiChat.
  5. Send a live test message.

Remember that WhatsApp messages consume HeiChat tokens and may also create Meta-side messaging charges.

Messenger

Use Messenger integration when you want Facebook Page and Messenger conversations handled by HeiChat.

At a high level:

  1. Prepare the Facebook app and page in Meta.
  2. Set the webhook callback URL and verification token.
  3. Generate the page access token.
  4. Enter the page ID in HeiChat.
  5. Test with a real message from Messenger.

Integration rollout advice

  1. Start with SMTP if email follow-up is a core support need.
  2. Add Klaviyo if lead capture and restock automation matter.
  3. Add Webhook if your team has clear downstream automation requirements.
  4. Add WhatsApp or Messenger only when the team is ready to support those channels operationally.
